Pi-Yi Mayo is a life-long resident of Harris County. He attended Lee College of Baytown, where
he received the highest academic honors, including Phi Beta Kappa. In 1987, Pi-Yi was honored
with the "Outstanding Former Student of Lee College" award. In 1980, he graduated Magna Cum
Laude in Finance from the University of Houston, where he received the award as the "Outstanding
Undergraduate of the College of Business Administration." Pi-Yi remained at the University of
Houston, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in 1983. |

Pi-Yi was one of the first attorneys in Texas to become Board Certified in Elder Law. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation as recognized by the State Bar of Texas.
Since graduation from Law School, the name "Pi-Yi Mayo" has become the highest standard in the
field of Elder Law across Texas and the entire United States. He has written articles and made
seminar presentations for the American Bar Association (Vice-Chairman of the Elder Law
Committee), State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, East Harris County Bar Association,
National Association of Elder Law Attorneys
(Past President of Texas Chapter)
, Professional
Education Systems Institute, Florida Bar Association, Baylor University, University of Texas, South
Texas College of Law and many others.
He has taught the course in “Elder Law” for the University of Houston Law School. Pi-Yi and his wife, Lee Lou, along with their son Coleton, live in Baytown, where Pi-Yi has his
principal law office. He practices exclusively in the area of Elder Law.
